2015 EB G18 DOUBLES THU.

Girls' 18 Doubles (Quarterfinal Round)
Sonya Kenin (Pembroke Pines, FL) / Katie Swan (1) (Wichita, KS) def. Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, ME) / Gabriella Pollner (6) (Boca Raton, FL) 7-6(4), 6-4

Watched from the tiebreaker, K/P played very well. P was as usual very solid, drove very well, and K made some nice net plays.
That said, they just couldn't overcome Kenin; her drives, lobs, poaching....too good. Swan's serves were quite unreturnable, and she even made some crucial poaches at crucial moments in the 2nd.
Morgan Coppoc (Tulsa, OK) / Alexandra Sanford (8) (Westerville, OH) def. Jessica Failla (Ramona, CA) / Jada Hart (Colton, CA) 6-4, 6-1

At first C/S had difficulty countering F/H's relentless net charges; but again, Morgan~~~haha. Her shots have that urgency which makes a champion! And her defense is just outta the world lol, so many crazy ones, not panicking against the opponents' net attacks and countering those effectively; supreme concentration.  Alex also poached and served well, and F/H made some volley errors.
Chatted with Maria Mateas for a bit!
Caroline Dolehide (Hinsdale, IL) / Ena Shibahara (Rancho Palos Verdes, CA) def. Annette Goulak (Oak Park, CA) / Alaina Miller (Saratoga, CA) 6-1, 6-3

Too good lol. That said, Alaina's drives were so potent lol, including outright service return winner against Caro lol.  Annette seemed a bit outclassed, but she did make some choice poaches and drives too(I think she also once made an outright return winner against Caro, methink Caro's serve is exploitable). But generally, D/S served very well, and generally won the net contest decisively.
Usue Arconada (Rio Piedras, PR) / Francesca Dilorenzo (2) (New Albany, OH) def. Andie Daniell (Douglasville, GA) / Emma Higuchi (Los Angeles, CA) 6-3, 6-3

The match was actually pretty tight, didn't know Andie could poach so well lol(earlier said hello!).  But Francesca's being lefty was pretty effective, in passing, and Emma later made some volley errors, generally her condition didn't seem too good, but she always was rather unstable handling those..
