2015 EB Sun.

Didn't know Darya and Marycaroline played, maybe should've not gone to Oak Glen Preserve and Big

Rancho Santa Ana garden birdwalk was nice, but my biggest finds were at the feeder at the Young girls, late teens? attended, like 4, was surprised! (Since most are elderly retirees and such!)

Oak Glen boasted fantastic scenery, but birding, meh.
Big Morongo, went to exchange t shirts, and it was so windy, naturally few birds spotted, and again benefitted from the feeder!

Elysia withdrew seems, too bad.
And I guess many girl's matches are banished to other venues to make way for the boys!

Tried to snatch Alaina's umbrella, haha.

I see Mimi got LL, eh...

Girls' 18 Singles Qualifying
16 (8) Zoe Spence d. Summer Dvorak 6-2; 6-1

Summer didn't even play that bad, just that Zoe's condition was damn good lol.

16 (7) Kenadi Hance d. Elene Tsokilauri 6-4; 4-6; 6-4

Elene was the bigger hitter but Kenadi moved her around successfully.

16 (6) Amanda Anisimova d. Jada Hart 7-6(4); 2-6; 6-3

Where was coach Rinaldi haha, she was at the venue.
A IS OBVIOUSLY TALENTED, with her potent drives and fantastic touch. Troubled H much, and H STRUGGLED with her errors as well. But later A's form went down, especially her bh c/c and sent several of her shots long. So H targeted A's bh, but A got her act together lol, and played almost flawlessly. So it was H who committed errors after long rallies. ASU coach McInerney  watched this.

16 Ashley Lahey d. (5) Karina Traxler 6-1; 6-4

Karina troubled Ashley later, moved her around, but L was too good, could even make outright winners. And as usual, her stellar net game.

16 (4) Jaclyn Switkes d. Marycaroline Meredith 6-2; 6-4

Both Arizona team coaches watched this. Said hello to coach McInerney and complimented on Desirae's huge win! :)
MM was very aggressive and her drive from, verra good. But S defended well and was more steady.

16 (3) Chiara Lommer d. REGINA PITTS 6-1; 6-0

Pitts' touch was great, harassed L much.

16 Gabrielle Schuck d. Mimi Levine 6-0; 6-2

16 (1) Abigail Desiatnikov d. Annette Goulak 6-4; 6-4

Abi's short angles. Harassed G so much. Player like D, you can't play defence. Can hit early too, on both wings. But the score is actually tight, I see that G fought well in the 2nd. And obviously tried to target D's serve.

32 Summer Dvorak d. Katie Chang 6-0; 6-1
32 (8) Zoe Spence d. Christina Zordani 6-3; 6-0
32 Elene Tsokilauri d. Camille Kiss 6-4; 6-2 .

32 (7) Kenadi Hance d. Risa Nakagawa 6-4; 7-5

This was being played when I arrived at 3, at crt 11 or something.

32 Jada Hart d. Alexa Ryngler 6-4; 7-6

R played well, considering the age gap lol.

32 (6) Amanda Anisimova d. Mckenzie Collins 6-1; 6-4
32 Ashley Lahey d. Paris Corley 6-4; 6-3

32 (5) Karina Traxler d. Emily Maxfield 6-4; 6-7; 6-3

Emily was aggressive, threw everything at Karina. Errors was her bane.

32 Marycaroline Meredith d. Darya Possokhova 6-4; 5-7; 6-2

Too bad I missed this.

32 (4) Jaclyn Switkes d. Morgan Cooley 6-3; 6-1

Same here, wanted to watch Morgan.

32 REGINA PITTS d. Rylie Cox 6-4; 6-1
32 (3) Chiara Lommer d. Cassie McKenzie 6-1; 6-1
32 Gabrielle Schuck d. Sofia Booth 6-3; 6-2
32 Mimi Levine d. (2) Stephanie Hazell 3-6; 6-2; 6-2
32 Annette Goulak d. Taylor Cosme 7-5; 6-3

32 (1) Abigail Desiatnikov d. Nicole Johnston 6-3; 7-6(5)

Nicole! Did she beef up her game or what lol, she was sharp, but rather lacked power when I saw her play last year..
