What does USC-W mean? Weird..

The only surprise and clincher is of course #3 singles(well Failla losing to Wiley as well, but Wiley really harassed Doyle at Freeman last year).

I frankly thought Gabby would win, with her experience. It's not like she can't handle the pace either, so..

So, did Alaina play first strike tennis, and was her condition especially good? The match was finished 3rd. Well, when she is 'on', she is pretty much untouchable..

I was pretty surprised by the outcome. Though USC on paper is ranked lower, all their singles players are ranked, whereas UCLA only has one ranked player...largely due to a lack of fall season play and poor early results in the spring season. Those are definitely the biggest wins of the year for Miller and Wiley, who have been struggling to consistently get wins for the Bruins this season. Was somewhat surprised that the top 3 matches were all pretty quick straight sets wins...thought those would be battles or USC wins.

UCLA's #6 position has essentially been an automatic quick loss this year...Magill seemed to be playing decently, but I guess she must be injured.

Is Xepoleas injured? With her huge hitting and strong play last season, I was expecting her to play in the top 3 for 'SC this year.

(I think USC-W means USC women, but could be wrong).

I actually thought Bruins seniors would win, considering that it's also their homecourt(Bruins fans can be really loud!). Cat is after all Ojai champ, and well Kyle is Kyle lol(EB and Ojai winner as well). Thought Katz might win, but Fleming seems to be fired up.
Not sure what's wrong with Xep, but she had a terrible Fall season. The team surely needs her firepower.
Don think I ever saw USC-W in their recaps before, so was curious lol(then why didn't they also write UCLA-W)
