Santa Ana river birding report

Can't resist! Birded despite the drizzle. I see that I birded the wrong location, further east, last winter when I tried to spot the Tufted Duck(probably the same bird? Wintering 2 seasons in row?). Tufted Duck is a very rare bird here, Eurasian species or something.

Do not waste time walking east along the river like me(almost walked to the next bridge before giving up and turning back). Same initial location, at big pond/lake NW of Lakeview junction. Rather small. Most of the time tucked its head in.
