The price of watching Florida at Pepperdine

Yellow-footed, Slaty-backed and Lesser Black-backed Gulls are all EXTREMELY RARE here(Yellow-footed gull you can see at Salton Sea, but mostly in the summer when it's over 100F).  No guarantee one could spot it again.

Continuing adult refound by Darren Dowell. Large, dark-mantled gull, overall very similar to nearby Western Gulls but with bright yellow feet, including yellow webs, and a thicker bill than an average Western. With good scope views, the orbital ring was visibly orange. Photos.
