Tennessee at Alabama results

Has suffered a big change, long time coach Patrick stepping down.
They were recently quite highly ranked, although routed by stronger SEC teams. But just defeated a good Alabama team;

Scores from TENN;

No. 16 Tennessee 4, No. 46 Alabama 3

I dunno why many teams put Singles first. Is it another example of the demise of doubles? I mean doubles play first, no?

Singles

Totally forgot about Riley and Schuck. Silva is also a freshman. It's like USC's 2014-5 season, freshman trio playing at lower positions and delivering the wins.
In fact upper positions were also quite competitive.

1. #59 Erin Routliffe (UA) def. #51 Brittany Lindl (UT), 7-5, 6-3

2. #124 Andie Daniell (UA) def. Sadie Hammond (UT), 6-1, 5-7, 6-2
3. Danielle Spielmann (UA) def. Eve Repic (UT) 6-4, 6-4

4. Ariadna Riley (UT) def. Smith Hinton (UA), 7-6 (4), 7-5

5. Johanna Silva (UT) def. Maddie Pothoff (UA), 7-6 (6), 6-1

6. Gabby Schuck (UT) def. Juliana Valero (UA), 6-0, 6-4

Doubles
1. #74 Lindl/Repic (UT) vs. #25 Routliffe/Pothoff (UA), 4-4 unf.
2. Hammond/Schuck (UT) def. Spielmann/Hinton (UA), 6-4

3. Riley/Silva (UT) def. Valero/Daniell (UA), 6-1

Massive win in doubles. Look at #1 too.  I was impressed with Daniell in singles, not in doubles, during junior competition haha. Anyway UT has produced Pluskota/Whoriskey, so their excellent doubles tradition lives on I guess.

Order of Finish: Doubles (3, 2); Singles (6, 3, 1, 5, 4, 2)
