Hawaii at Irvine

THEY POSTPONED THE MATCH TIME FROM 11 TO 1:30, so had to pay $8 for parking -_-^^^^ Well, thanks to that got to bird San Joaquin Marsh though..

Score from UH or UCI;

Hawai'i 6, UC Irvine 1

Singles

They changed the court order? Now 1-3, not 1,3,5.
Some UH players showed nice manners, applauding.

1. #56 Petra Melounova (UH) def. Constance Branstine (UCI): 6-2, 6-2

Naturally ventured this far in the first place to watch Petra. Against Constance(I don't watch blowouts). Constance's balls landed a bit outside the lines; imagine if all those go in. Could be a good rivalry. Felt her bh was good. Petra had her leg bandaged, but moved well and was more solid. Wonder if she can make it to NCAA singles.

2. Cindy Nguyen (UH) def. Vivien Dvali (UCI): 6-4, 6-3

Was quite impressed with Dvali. One handed backhand.

3. Marina Hruba (UH) def. Cassidy Branstine (UCI): 6-0, 6-0
4. Roxanne Resma (UH) def. Stephanie Hazell (UCI): 6-4, 6-1
5. Nikola Dolakova (UH) def. Ashlynn Hall (UCI): 2-6, 6-3, 10-5

6. Jacqueline Tsodikova (UCI) def. Michelle Pits (UH): 6-4, 6-1

That's quite a win imo. P was pretty good at SW R..

Order of finish: 3, 1, 6, 4*, 2, 5

Doubles
1. #77 Melounova/Resma (UH) def. Co. Branstine/Hazell (UCI): 6-3

Quality match. Obviously because H is a good doubles player.

2. Hali Dickson/Dvali (UCI) def. Nguyen/Klara Pribylova (UH): 6-2

As I said, impressed with Dvali.

3. Alzbeta Houbova/Hruba (UH) def. Ca. Branstine/Tsodikova (UCI): 6-2
Order of finish: 3, 2, 1

UCI is really not bad.
