Clay National G18] 'Unholy Alliance' between South & Midwest

Of course 'Unholy ' is a joke, just a reminder of anti Civil Rights stance between those two Senate blocs during the 1940s and 50s.

At least 4 teams:

And they're all contenders.

Not sure I can attend the National

Both EB and this, the director, according to tennislink, is Lo Kuhle.

And you know what happened at EB.

I can't really bother contacting him/her in this email, I mean what's the use, when I wasn't protected at all even though they knew I was a blogger. I'm not going to 'beg', you know?

Maybe I should just bird the area or Salton Sea, hoping for Wood Stork and Magnificient Frigatebird!! Maybe I'll meet legendary birders Paul Lehman or Guy McCaskie there while birding.

Stone, Cayetano(class of 2019), DeFalco(class of 2021).

Scott and Ko made some huge upsets at G16.

Enjoying Robert Caro's vol.3 on LBJ(read the 4th one not long ago). Methinks on par with Kenneth Davis's bios of FDR. Essential reading for American history imo. I do feel sorry for Lady Bird and Leland Olds.

Looking forward to weekend birding! Angeles National Forest tomorrow with Audubon members.

2017 National link

Drove all the way to Pt. Dume to do some seabird watching and couldn't see a thing, due to heavy fog..surprise find there was a male California Quail.
Least Terns and Snowy Plover were good finds at Malibu Lagoon.

Baptiste not entered, yet. Let's hope it stays that way.

Some top players already entered, Osuigwe, Liu, Douglas, Bolton..

And Desiatnikov.
Did she move yet again(from Sandy Springs, Georgia: TRN)?

Feeding Hills, MA

Anyway she's currently playing senior ITF events, hasn't played junior events in a while, methinks.

Kessler this time teamed up with Zein, interesting(not Emma).

Winter Nat G18 winner Kung is playing.

Paul Lehman is posting at San Diego birding listserve(Yahoo).  Another strong reason to revisit SD.

Results from ITF.

Career high world junior #12. 1-1 against Loeb from last year.
Pepperdine might be even better next season...
